Prairie Public has announced comprehensive legislative coverage through television, radio, and digital platforms – including a new weekly podcast.
New podcast
The new podcast In Session, hosted by Prairie Public’s Ann Alquist and Erik Deatherage, is a succinct and entertaining recap of activity in the North Dakota legislative session. New episodes release on Mondays, and are available on podcast platforms as well as prairiepublic.org.
“The legislature can be hard to follow, and sometimes it can be tedious,” said Alquist. “What happens in Bismarck affects all of us, so we wanted to make a show that’s approachable and interesting to everyone in North Dakota.”
Continuing coverage
The station will continue its long-running television series North Dakota Legislative Review, hosted by news director Dave Thompson. Each week, Thompson hosts conversations with newsmakers and legislators.
Gov. Kelly Armstrong is the first guest of the season, premiering January 17. The show airs on Prairie Public’s television service on Fridays at 7:30pm during the Legislative Session, on the radio service on Fridays at 6:30pm, and is available to stream on YouTube.
Additionally, the station’s statewide news team will provide ongoing news coverage on the radio and online at news.prairiepublic.org.
