Prairie Public invites the public to two special events in Fargo leading up to the national broadcast of PBS’s new Ken Burns documentary series, “The American Revolution.”

On Tuesday, November 4, at 7 p.m., Prairie Public will host a free preview screening of “The American Revolution” at the Fargo Theatre. The 46-minute preview reel offers an early look at the much-anticipated six-part, 12-hour series from filmmakers Ken Burns, Sarah Botstein, and David Schmidt. The documentary explores the nation’s founding struggle and the eight-year War for Independence.

The screening is free to attend, but RSVPs are encouraged to reserve a seat at prairiepublic.ticketbud.com.

Then, Prairie Public will host a free Hamilton Trivia Night on Monday, November 10, at 6:30 p.m. at Junkyard West Fargo. Attendees can test their knowledge of the hit musical “Hamilton,” the American Revolution, and the founding era in a fun evening of friendly competition and prizes.

Both events lead up to the national broadcast premiere of “The American Revolution,” airing on Prairie Public beginning Sunday, November 16, at 7 p.m., and continuing for six consecutive nights through Friday, November 21.
