Welcome to a special edition of What's On Weekly!

Read below to find TV highlights from March 2026, including new seasons of Prairie Musicians, Prairie Mosaic, and Call the Midwife, and the premiere of new MASTERPIECE series The Forsytes and The Count of Monte Cristo.

Downton Abbey | Season 1

The Crawleys are back! Downton Abbey — the beloved MASTERPIECE series and most popular PBS drama of all time — returns this spring, with all six seasons available to stream with PBS Passport beginning March 1. 

TUNE IN 
Watch the entire first season during our March Membership Drive:

  • Sunday, March 1, at 2pm
  • Saturday, March 7, at 2pm
  • Sunday, March 8, at 2pm
  • Saturday, March 14, at 2pm


More seasons of Downton Abbey will be broadcast throughout the year, which will be announced at a later date.

Fleetwood Mac: The Dance

Recorded in 1997, this concert marks the return of the band's most successful line-up of Lindsey Buckingham, Mick Fleetwood, Christine McVie, John McVie, and Stevie Nicks, who had not released an album together since 1987's Tango in the Night. 

The group performs "Go Your Own Way," "The Chain," "Landslide," "Gold Dust Woman," and "Gypsy." The USC Marching Band joins in on "Tusk" and "Don't Stop."

Prairie Mosaic | New Season!

Prairie Mosaic is back with new episodes beginning March 19! From bison ranching to foraging, all-new cooking segments, and local artist features, the series continues to spotlight our region’s culture, history, and traditions.

Prairie Musicians | New Season!

Prairie Musicians returns on March 19 with a new season spotlighting the talent shaping our region’s music scene. Seven singer-songwriters and bands take the stage in Prairie Public’s downtown Fargo studio to deliver intimate 30-minute performances.

Great Performances at The Met | La Bohème

Experience Zeffirelli’s beloved production set in 19th-century Paris telling the story of Puccini’s young artists and lovers that share joy, passion, and heartbreak featuring Juliana Grigoryan as Mimì and Freddie De Tommaso as Rodolfo.

Call the Midwife | Season 15

The new season of Call the Midwife kicks off in 1971 as several of the ladies embrace Women’s Lib and burn their bras outside Nonnatus House. Through the year, the team handles challenging cases including premature birth, placenta previa, kidney cancer, tuberculosis, and slavery.

The Forsytes on MASTERPIECE

New from MASTERPIECE, The Forsytes chronicles the lives, loves, trials, and triumphs of a wealthy Victorian-era stockbroking family, whose generations find themselves torn between tradition and self-sacrifice, personal happiness and the pursuit of love. The series is inspired by John Galsworthy’s celebrated “Forsyte Saga” novels.

The Count of Monte Cristo on MASTERPIECE

In MASTERPIECE’s new adaptation of The Count of Monte Cristo,Sam Claflin starsas Edmond Dantes, a sailor falsely accused of treason and imprisoned in the Château d’If off Marseille. After escaping, and adopting the identity of the Count of Monte Cristo, he plans revenge against those who wrongly accused him. 

Also featuring Jeremy Irons, this sweeping series brings to life the literary classic written by Alexandre Dumas.

Henry David Thoreau

Henry David Thoreau has been called the patron saint of the environmental movement and the father of nonviolent resistance. His best-known work, “Walden,” is considered a masterpiece and figures on every list of essential American books. 

With narration from George Clooney and voices by Jeff Goldblum, Ted Danson, Tate Donovan, and Meryl Streep, Ken Burns’ new three-part series will explore Thoreau’s most far-reaching and forward-thinking ideas: justice for all human beings, the health of our planet, the quest for a meaningful life, the importance of standing up for one’s beliefs.
