Update on Public Media Funding
The U.S. Senate has voted to remove $1.1 billion in already approved federal funding for public media stations across the country. The bill will now return to the House for a vote. If passed, and the bill is signed by President Trump, all Corporation for Public Broadcasting funding will disappear on October 1.
Federal funding comprises about 20% of Prairie Public’s annual budget.
We are determined to keep broadcasting, no matter the challenges ahead. Thank you for standing with us.
Sincerely,
John Harris
