Minnesota and the American Story: 250 Years is a Minnesota public television collaboration exploring how the Revolutionary War and America’s founding ideals shaped the people, places, and progress of Minnesota. 

Through powerful stories and local perspectives, the documentary connects our region’s history to the larger national narrative... from early exploration and settlement to the diverse communities that define the state today. 

This program includes a short feature from Prairie Public, Minnesota's Sea of Grass, which explores the history, ecology, and preservation of Minnesota's prairie.

Funding for this program was provided by the Minnesota Arts and Cultural Heritage Fund

This fund is part of the Legacy Amendment, voted on by the people of Minnesota in 2008.
