On this edition of Prairie Mosaic, we'll visit Rolling R Ranch in Otter Tail County, MN and find out how owner and operator Dale Rengstorf is helping to restore a piece of the prairie by raising bison on his land; watch Chef Sara Watson prepare a bison steak; visit the Concordia Language Villages in Bemidji, MN; and listen to the Dan Brekke Band

On this edition of Prairie Mosaic, we'll watch Chef Candace Stock forage wild plants and vegetation then incorporate them into an Indigenous Corn Pudding dish; learn about the art work of Jennie Ward from Lake Park, MN; and listen to Dakota Pro Musica, a music and performing arts organization from North Dakota.

On this edition of Prairie Mosaic, we'll learn about inventor and engineer Frederick McKinley Jones; meet Blair Treuer who uses fabric and textiles to tell stories of family, spirituality, and change; learn how Penny Kagigebi's love for creating Native American art like quill boxes and birch bark baskets has helped connect her to her culture and Two-Spirit relatives; and listen to the original folk-style music of Patty Kakac from Evansville, MN.

On this edition of Prairie Mosaic, we’ll look at how Project 412 in Detroit Lakes invests in the community by working with local artists; watch artist Bailey White find inspiration through Moorhead’s landmarks; meet Nome, ND knife maker Jed Anderson and watch the art of bladesmithing; and listen to a charismatic duo, The International Treasures.

On this edition of Prairie Mosaic, we’ll visit Stumbeano’s Coffee Roasterie in Fergus Falls; then Chef Evan Burkdoll from the restaurant Toast in Fergus Falls joins us in the kitchen to create one of his favorite dishes, Espresso Rubbed Pork Tenderloin; Tyson Andrews, a woodworker from Perham, MN, explains how his taste for the whimsy came from building custom houses; and Annabelle Maher  performs her favorite original music.

Episode 6

On this edition of Prairie Mosaic, we'll hear poems read by Aspen Geist of Wyndmere High School, the 2026 North Dakota Poetry Out Loud winner; learn about the Red River Valley History Papers, an eclectic, archival collection that includes dozens of newspapers, photographs, and postcards; watch as Dakota artist Holly Young expresses her passion for Indigenous art through detailed beadwork and striking ledger art; and listen to the mesmerizing voice and quick witted lyrics of musician Samantha Grimes from Roseville, MN.

Episode 7

On this edition of Prairie Mosaic, we'll go to Bemidji to experience the Moberg Fly In, a weekend that brings together pilots, spectators, and individuals interested in learning more about aviation; meet potter Butch Pavlacky; watch as wood carver Joel Huener works to maintain the tradition of handmade duck decoys; and listen to Skarlett Woods weave years of life and travel experiences into her eclectic lyrics.
