Education Manager (Fargo, ND)
Prairie Public is seeking an Education Manager to strategically plan and direct PK-12 educator professional development and engagement activities that drive awareness and use of public media educational resources.
This includes promoting education-related digital content for multimedia platforms, collaboration promoting national and regional education resources designed to cultivate knowledge, enrich lives and extend the impact of public media, and provide professional development for K-12 educators and other stakeholders.
The Manager will supervise and train a team of education engagement professionals as well as oversee scheduling and content of the Prairie Public Learning Express trailers.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree required. PK-12 Education program preferred.
- 5 years of experience in formal or informal PK-12 education
- 2 years of supervisory experience
- Experience planning and leading others in learning activities, presenting to a group and effective public speaking
- Excellent writing, communication, time management and organizational skills
- Desire to travel around the Prairie Public service area to work with educators and other partners as needed
Preferred Qualifications
- Passion for education, and experience working with teachers and students
- Experience creating digital content for multiple media, including graphic design, video and audio capture, production and editing
- Understanding and experience with strengths and challenges of a rural environment
- Experience working and engaging with diverse communities
- Growth mindset and ability to stay current with changing media technologies
