New season of Prairie Mosaic premieres March 16

FARGO, N.D., March 11, 2023 — A visual artist, a restored church, a museum, and a band from Minneapolis are featured on the season premiere of “Prairie Mosaic,” premiering March 16 at 8:30 on Prairie Public.

“Prairie Mosaic” is one of Prairie Public’s most popular original television productions, and is now in its 14th season.

The premiere episode features Dawn Rossbach, a visual artist who works in printmaking, stained glass and painting, from Menahga, MN. The episode also travels to the Buxton in Bloom Grue Church restoration project in Buxton, ND, and visits the Prospect House and Civil War Museum in Battle Lake, MN. Every episode includes a set from “Prairie Musicians,” another original production from the nonprofit network. The featured music on March 16 is from Annie Mack and her band from Minneapolis, MN.

The second episode in this season of “Prairie Mosaic,” airing the following Thursday at 8:30 p.m., features painter and educator Debbie Aune from Greenbush, MN. It also visits the International Peace Gardens and International Music Camp in Dunseith, ND, and chronicles the history of the Fergus Falls State Hospital. The musical guest is Gary Timbs, a gospel and spiritual musician from Staples, MN.

“Prairie Mosaic” continues every Thursday at 8:30 p.m. The shows are also available on the PBS app and Prairie Public YouTube channels.


“Prairie Mosaic” is supported by the Minnesota Arts and Cultural Heritage Fund—legislation passed in 2008 by Minnesota that provides funding to public television stations serving audiences in Minnesota.
