Beginning February 1, Prairie Public will introduce a new programming lineup for its second multicast channel, Prairie Public 2 (PPB2), blending content from both World Channel and Create TV.
Formerly airing World Channel with two hours a day of locally produced Prairie Public programs, PPB2 will now feature daytime lifestyle and how-to programs from Create TV.
The new PPB2 schedule is as follows:
- Create TV: 6 a.m. to 6 p.m.
- Local Prairie Public programs: 6 to 7 p.m.
- World Channel: 7 p.m. to 5 a.m.
- Local Prairie Public programs: 5 to 6 a.m.
This hybrid format offers viewers the best of both channels – daytime cooking, travel, arts, and home improvement programming from Create TV, alongside World Channel’s in-depth journalism and global perspectives during primetime and overnight hours – while highlighting Prairie Public’s original local content.
PPB2 is available over-the-air and through participating cable and streaming providers. You can find the PPB2 schedule here.
