Prairie Public invites the public to a free premiere event featuring the new public television documentary Free For All: The Public Library

New from PBS’s Independent Lens, “Free for All: The Public Library” tells the story of the quiet revolutionaries who made a simple idea happen. From the pioneering women behind the “Free Library Movement” to today's librarians who serve the public, the documentary shares the stories of those who created a civic institution where everything is free and the doors are open to all.

In Fargo, the film will be followed by a panel discussion with Fargo Public Library Director Tim Dirks, West Fargo Public Library Director Jenna Kahly, and Moorhead Library Director Megan Krueger. The panel is moderated by Prairie Public's education services manager, Linda Mork.

The documentary will air on Prairie Public on Tuesday, April 29, at 9 p.m.
